MEET ME
Hello,
My name is Kenesha Brown. I am from Birmingham, Alabama and I am an Elementary Education major. In the spring semester, I will be classified as a senior.
What drew me into education was my ability to motive people to do better for themselves. I am fully aware that technology is getting bigger and better;however, I believe in teachers being a second mom. I want to be an educator because I want to be that person that motivates people to do more. I am a person that is eager to learn new techniques and new ideas. I don't mind showing people how things work or how to understand a situation a little better. I have a kind heart and I'm not afraid of failure. A person who fails but continues to try, is not only passionate, but also in love with meeting their success.
I have the passion and the patience it takes to be a school teacher. Kids feed off the positive energy that is put forward. They can be the kindest and the sweetest or not so kind and not so sweet. However, you have to be the leader of such an amazing group, which is my reason why I want to be an educator. I realize how I can capture the attention of such a hyper group of individuals. Also, my passion lies in my eager attitude to learn more. When I was a growing up I wasn't the smartest kid in my class, but I didn't mind learning new material. I actually hung around them so much I actually felt like they was rubbing off on me. Anyways, I feel like it is my obligation to give my gift of passion for education to younger people. In addition, kids actually looks up to young people that shows them a different side of what they may think they know.
This semester, I am hoping to gain knowledge and enhance my ability to making learning fun. I am hoping to find a fun way to motive students that learning is actually fun. My previous experience in this course, I didn't quite understand the purpose of this classes. However, now I have an open mind to accepting the ability to use technology to enhance learning. I look forward to a successful semester.
